Organised by the Lusophone Arbitration and Mediation Association (ALAM), the congress will bring together arbitrators, lawyers, academics and institutional representatives from different jurisdictions to promote cooperation and knowledge sharing in international arbitration, particularly between Portuguese-speaking countries and China.

On 17 October, Helena Prata Ferreira will join the panel “Unravelling Energy Disputes: Key Aspects of Lusophone Arbitration”, alongside Carlos Pires, Pedro Couto, Elisa Pereira and Wesley Pang.

On 16 October, Joana Galvão Teles will participate in the launch session of the “Lusophone Arbitration Course”, alongside Bruno Nunes, Marcos Rolim and Alexandre Lobo.

The programme will also feature sessions on the challenges of multi-jurisdictional disputes, diversity and inclusion in arbitration, the harmonisation of legal cultures, integrity in arbitral proceedings and Macau’s role as a global platform for dispute resolution.

ALC Advogados’ participation in this congress reflects the firm's commitment to sharing legal knowledge, fostering cooperation between professionals from different jurisdictions and contributing to the development of international arbitration in the Portuguese-speaking world.
