Lawyers
From time to time we expand our team of lawyers in response to the requirements and needs of our practice areas. The process of selecting a lawyer whose profile suits the firm’s values and culture and who possesses the required knowledge and experience and the desired seniority includes the analysis of each applicant’s curriculum vitae and interviews with those responsible for recruitment within the firm. Often there is also an oral and written exam in English.
Trainees
We have a strong tradition of providing high quality internships to trainee lawyers. Each year, we only admit the number of trainees which we estimate to be able to integrate within our team at the end of their internships. That is the golden rule which feeds, at every moment, our full commitment to the training and progression of all our trainees.
Besides an excellent human and technical upbringing and the potential to excel at our profession, the trainee is required to demonstrate a sense of responsibility, the ability to work as part of a team and proficiency in foreign languages. The firm is looking for trainees that demonstrate technical skills as well as synergy with the firm’s culture and values.
The annual selection process begins in October, for admission to an internship beginning in September of the following year. It includes, in addition to the curricular analysis, a series of interviews with those responsible for the recruitment within the firm as well as an oral and written exam in English.
Support Staff
The firm has a substantial support staff in various areas. The same criteria of professionalism and a sense of responsibility apply in these areas. Key requirements are professional competence in the relevant area, proficiency in the Portuguese language and a good working knowledge of the English language, information technology skills and overall synergy with the firm’s culture and values.
The selection process encompasses a curricular analysis and an interview with the Managing Partner.
